We all bleed;
but facts like these slip our minds.

We all want to be loved;
but simple things like these are overlooked.

We all ache, and we all cry, and all our hearts are sore.
We all miss someone.

And when you speak to an enemy;
remember this;

We’re all a part of the same soul.
The same heart.
The same face.

And that is the heart, soul, and face of God.
Face of the world.

We are all the ocean.
We are all the sky.
We are all infinite and greater than time.

We are all one;
in our misery,
in our sorrow,
in our hate,
and contempt.

We are all the beauty, and we are all the hideousness of the world.
We are all vulnerable and scared.

So go ahead, and love.
No one has a single thing to lose.
Because we co-exist in this intricate web;
known as Earth; known as life.

And we’re all tied together,
and can’t be undone.

-J.P. Trochez

“The creatures from this world. They’re dark. They craw around as shadows. Grabbing at your ankles. Thick, black smog, wrapping it’s breath. It’s heat around your legs. To pull you down and drag you; into the hideously dark abyss of the world. In which there lies all darkness; the absence of light. They’re monsters, that run rampage; chasing you like vicious ghosts. Angry, furious ghosts with intent to instill a terrifying fear. Galloping like beasts from the shadows of the Earth. Lunging their bodies forward; their knuckles and wrists; their knees and elbows. Tramping the ground. Bottling the light, and capturing your soul.”

-J.P. Trochez (prosa).

“We all keep guards up, but to protect us from what?
The inevitable?
The pain we’re already meant to feel?
If it’s not love, then it is the absence of love that will destroy you.
We have too much of one thing, and not enough of another.
There is no.balance               in this world. No equilibrium,                                        nothing.
To accept as truth. Logic. To trust.

Are well all equally as
                                 hopeless.

                                                 helpless.
                                                               and
                                                                       alone?
Vulnerable; nude?

Are you as afraid as I am?
To awake one morning, with the sun peaking through your blinds, slowly realizing that you are devestatingly alone?
That only you can escape the shadows of this Earth, but you survive alone.

Alone.
And your heart will just kind of sink; you’ll feel sore. You’ll peel the walls of this Earth,
                                               endlessly overwhelmed.

Your organs begin to unravel,
no longer will reality pose as a
                                                        three dimensional image.

The world captures you in terms of lights.
and colors. Are we reflections of the spectrum?
Is what we see, and feel simply figments of our imagination?
Is there something deeper here, on this Earth?

Or are we just
victims of evil.
Where the ones who give hope, are just a flame in the wind?”

-J.P. Trochez.

“I believe most people don’t know how to feel.
They just walk around.
Aimlessly.
Glancing at hips, or hair.

Unaware.
Of eyes and souls.

Oblivious.
That everyone feels this way.
Feeling nothing at all.

Just empty bodies,
becoming single bricks of a wall.”

-J.P. Trochez (prosa).

“I see right through your blank disguise.
Right through your vague and empty eyes.
I bet you think it’s a defeat.
But our sad past’s stuck on repeat.
And every ugly thing you say.
Is another reason why I drift away.
I’d never know what was true.
For I repressed every feeling I had towards you.
my love for you is still in my heart.
but to myself I’ll keep that part.”

-J.P. Trochez (vers libre).

“Love is the sharing of two profound souls.
One an abysmal yellow, another an abstruse blue.
Caressing shades of hue, and melting from colors into sounds.

Orchestrating an explosion; An intense rush.

A passionate battle.

An overwhelming sensation.

Life is a colossal ocean filled with all sorts of unexplainable emotion that are submerged into a subconscious atmosphere.
A perpetual current of distress and geniality.

So cold; so hot.

Where your stomach comforts the hatching of six legged insects; addicts of nectar; that sprout magnificent forms of transportation on their backs.
And your heart sinks into an acidic abyss where it must struggle to survive; unchanged and forever loving.

I want to touch you with my heart. I want to feel your colors from within.
Feel your warmth and blend with your beauty. Feel your gentle whispers, and the hesitant softness.

but I never want to fall in love.
I just want to be beautiful… “

-J.P. Trochez (vers libre).

“Words painted with permanent ink.
Ink that only defines itself for never being lost.
But when secret notes fade, and tears make them smear.
You begin to chant “everlasting; so?”
I am a simple word in a very large chapter.
My definition is restricted from everything I wish for it to be.
Trapped among the blue and between pink.
Beyond my context, I’m being drowned in vowels.
In a world of paper, it’s all white noise.
The A’s the E’s. The I.O.U.’s. You’ll get what you deserve.
Articulate with eloquence.
I imperishably lay there trying to construe a person from a simple definition.
I was born a word. As empty as a brand new page.”

-J.P. Trochez (vers libre).

“Your grip on my hand gently tightens, as you softly kiss my cheek.
Your lips firmly open and your words float out so weak,
You look into my eyes, and whisper an eager plea;
“Will you fall into the sea with me?”

Pouring himself into the water, our hands remain locked,
I’m pulled into the ocean from the unsteady dock.
As we descend into a perpetual abyss,
I look above, to the world I’m going to miss.

This world’s a blur of blues and greens.
Hiding all those things unseen.”

-J.P. Trochez (vers libre).

“Maybe what I feel for you is true.
I’m tired of writing poems about you.
You destroy all of the beautiful words I arrange,
and I know people like you and I change.
But you still look at me, for I’ve caught your eyes.
They’re the only thing that have connected us  without ties.
In my own words, I’m telling you.
If we’re not to blame, then who?
So please, hold my hand just one more time.
and to my heart, it will be the greatest crime.
But my mind just needs to know.
if it’s you my soul wants to follow.
and I know the past, I can’t undo
but, I’m so tired of writing poems about you.”

-J.P. Trochez (vers libre).

“you’re just like a star.
so much distance, so far.
all you’d ever do is crash and burn.
but for the center of your heart was all I’d ever yearn.
and it takes light years for me to see you explode.
because all you ever showed me was how pretty you glowed.
You were once my star.
The one I counted from afar.
Connected to my favorite constellations.
Watching over all the helpless nations.
I thought you were so bright.
As you sheltered me with light.
Creating beautiful designs.
While I’m drowning in turbines.
But all you ever were was just a simple little star.
You might as well have been a butterfly in jelly-jar.
For, I could never touch you.
Cos all you were was just a view.
Touch your hands or touch your face
You were always out in space.
Completely out of reach.
Your return was my beseech.
But as of then, you hide behind the clouds.
While I vanish in the crowds.
Secretly in love.
With the millionth star above.”
